Guys! A book I wrote got published!
You should totally buy it, but first, let me explain…
I started my writing journey doing freelance on a platform called upwork. It wasn’t a bad place to start, but it definitely isn’t for a career writer. I picked up a handful of jobs that paid far too little, and one of them was this book.
It is meant as a science exploration book for kids, roughly 9-12 years old (3-6 grades), focusing on how we see and make art. There are chapters on light waves and the ways our eyes interpret color, chapters on color theory, chapters on making your own paints and clay, among others.
I wrote the words, then the publishing company did all the design and illustrations. It was a really smooth process for me, but I do wish I had a little more control with it.
